I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology. I finished my Master's degree in professional meteorology (MSPM), sponsored by Vaisala, in the summer of 2008. In January 2009, I accepted a position at Vaisala and am now serving on a team of Meteorologists. Our main responsibility is to provide the scientific and meteorological expertise to each of Vaisala's market segments and I have recently been working closely with the wind energy segment. In my work, I rely heavily upon the diverse experiences and broad knowledge base I acquired at the University. Not only did OU provide me with an excellent education, but the School of Meteorology's MSPM program gave me the opportunity to collaborate with a number of individuals and organizations outside of the department; this was an experience that has proven to be particularly valuable in my current position. With every project that comes across my desk, I have an even greater appreciation for the training I received at OU.
