Senior Interactive Software Engineer - Weather Decision Technologies, Inc.
WDT is seeking to hire Senior Interactive Software Engineers to work in the commercial weather industry on innovative and cutting-edge technologies. Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT) is a growing Norman-based weather company focused on providing world class, decision support tools and products to a wide range of consumers and weather sensitive industries around the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop customer facing and back-end web-based applications based on industry standard technologies.
• Support and maintain technologies and systems included in WDT’s existing unique suite of weather products and technologies.
• Work with a team of software engineers and other web developers in designing, coding, testing and fielding products and technologies.
• Work with other system developers and engineers to troubleshoot fielded systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years experience developing RIAs using Adobe Flex and Adobe Flash
• Experience with large enterprise projects utilizing internally generated libraries
• Experience with setting and enforcing documentation guidelines
• Experience with refactoring code for large projects
• 1 or more years of experience leading a team of 3 or more developers
• Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Adobe Flex, Actionscript 3.0, and Adobe Flash
DESIRED:
• Working knowledge of Photoshop
• Experience with Mapping APIs (Such as Google, VE, or Yahoo)
• Experience with web applications receiving more than 5 million pageviews per month.
• Experience with meteorological data sets
• Experience with customized tile servers
• Experience with SVN or similar Source Control systems
• Experience using strict MVC development model
• Outgoing and approachable, willing to talk with customers directly
