Intereactive Software Engineer - Weather Decision Technologies, Inc.
WDT is seeking to hire Interactive Software Engineers to work in the commercial weather industry on innovative and cutting-edge technologies. Weather Decision Technologies, Inc. (WDT) is a growing Norman-based weather company focused on providing world class, decision support tools and products to a wide range of consumers and weather sensitive industries around the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop customer facing and back-end web-based applications based on industry standard technologies.
• Support and maintain technologies and systems included in WDT’s existing unique suite of weather products and technologies.
• Work with a team of software engineers and other web developers in designing, coding, testing and fielding products and technologies.
• Work with other system developers and engineers to troubleshoot fielded systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 1-3 years experience developing RIAs with Adobe Flex (AS3)
• Detailed working knowledge of Adobe Flex and Actionscript 3.0
• Working knowledge of MySQL, PHP, JavaScript
DESIRED:
• 3+ years developing web applications or websites
• Experience with Mapping APIs (Such as Google, VE, or Yahoo)
• Working knowledge of Adobe Flash
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with SVN or similar Source Control systems
• Experience using strict MVC development model
• Portfolio of previous projects employing dynamic content on the web
