Over the semester break, I am hoping to complete a few asks. I felt that I would list the major ones and invite comments on any issues, problems, or ideas for what may be important for the next term. So not in any particular order, here are some of the major tasks I will be working:

• Finish configuration and setup of two new Apple Mac Pros for Auxiliary Computer lab (NWC 3630).
• Rack and install server for OWL to run local versions of the WRF.
• Rack and begin setup of new LDAP server for the SoM.
• Clean up my office.

If I do not get a chance to see everyone, have a good and safe break. See in you January.

Well it is about dang time. Now available at the OU ITStore, students, faculty and staff can find the software package MATLAB. I have not heard of any problems with graduate students, faculty and staff downloading the software. I have now knowledge of what happens for undergrads. Login to the store requires your OU 4x4.

The current licensing arrangement is for the software to connect to the license server located on campus. This will require users when off campus to run the OU Cisco VPN client software which is also available at the ITStore for download. At this moment, I am not aware of a “stand alone” license being made available. If this may pose a problem, let me know and we can see what is available.
