KOLD/KMSB and TucsonNewsNow.com are looking for a fall intern for the weather department.
The weather department comprises three full time staff scientists with degrees ranging from Botany to Engineering to Meteorology.
The internship would entail creation of on-air and online graphics as well as web science-story production. The right person for the position will be able to marry science with communication. The candidate must be pursuing a degree in science or engineering.
Opportunities for the intern include:
• Immersion in one of Arizona’s largest news organizations
• Side-by-side work with a scientist
• Exposure to interaction between the private and government sectors in the weather industry
• Opportunity for a career-starting DVD of the intern’s work
• Skill improvement in communication of scientific news and principles
