Dylan Reif, a junior at the School of Meteorology, was selected to attend the 11th Annual NCAR Undergraduate Leadership Workshop. The program will take place in June 2012 allowing a small number of outstanding undergraduate students to begin on the path of becoming leaders in our field gaining insight into the breadth of research topics in the atmospheric sciences and becoming well informed about graduate and postdoctoral studies.

Matt Kumjian, a PhD student at the School, has been awarded and accepted a Post-doctoral Fellowship at the Advanced Study Program at NCAR. These awards are extremely competitive and many of the leaders in our field have passed through this program including several faculty at this School. These fellowships bring recent Ph.D.s to NCAR to work on a research project of their choosing that is relevant to the NCAR scientific mission. Fellowships are for one year with a one-year extension.

Congratulations to Dylan and Matt!
