The University College Alison Smith Overbay Scholarship was awarded to Nancy Holden, a junior meteorology major. The award was established by Eddie Carol Smith and Shirley Jean Smith as a way to honor their daughter. One student is selected each spring semester. The award goes to a female junior who is active in the ROTC with a high academic standing (min 3.25).

At the University spring campus awards ceremony, the School of Meteorology and the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences presented the Senior Undergraduate Academic Achievement Award to Natalie Daab and the Faculty Recognition for Outstanding Performance to Stacey Hitchcock. They join a long list of distinguished winners of these awards.

Danielle Barker, a former meteorology major, was awarded the the recipient of the Lloyd Iverson Scholarship given out by the OU Federal Credit Union. This award is based on merit and service and is given out in "recognition of the years of service Professor Lloyd Iverson provided to the University of Oklahoma and as a member of the Board of Directors of the OU Federal Credit Union, the following scholarship has been established in his honor." Danielle has also won an Osher Reentry Scholarship for students who are restarting their career after an interruption. As you may know, Danielle has changed majors and we miss her energy and enthusiasm. However, she is still working at the Oklahoma Climate Survey so she is still around.
