The NWC is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm 7 days a week, and everyone with an OU student ID card can enter and move about the building. Please enter through the northeast doors on the first floor and show your ID to the security officers. Students in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences have access 24 hrs a day by swiping your ID-card in the slot near the front entrance. The list of students will be updated after the third week of classes, so please be patient if your card doesn't work right away. Freshmen in the University College will not have 24 hr access unless they become active in the OWL, SAC or OUSCAMS student organizations.

A similar policy holds for the SoM computer rooms for our students - Rms 5720 (LINUX Computer Lab.); 5401(student lounge; OWL forecast office); 5402 (General Computing room). IN response to student request, we are extending access to 5600 and soon to 5930. All majors in the A&GS College will have One-Card access to these rooms, as well as freshmen who need access. As a result, please DO NOT EVER LEAVE THESE ROOMS OPEN as they will lock for the next person. Always close the door behind you, as anyone who has a right to use the room will have access.

There are 4 ways to get to the NWC: walk, bike, car and bus. If you bike, there is a parking area on the north side of the wall extending east from the NWC entrance. If you drive, you will need an OU parking sticker. Do not park in the Visitor parking spaces (even if you do not have a sticker - they will track you down!) Free may no longer be available in the SE corner of the Lloyd Noble parking lot.

We encourage you to use the CART bus system. The route between OU and the NWC is called the "Research Shuttle" "N42 Gold" route. (http://cart.ou.edu/gold.html) It leaves the NWC every 20 minutes at :05, :25 and :45 after the hour and leaves the campus at :15, :35 and :55 minutes after the hour. The first bus from campus leaves at 7:55 and arrives at the NWC at 8:05. The last bus from the NWC leaves at 5:25 pm and gets to campus at 5:35 pm.
