Dylan Reif, lifelong Norman resident, is currently a junior in the School of Meteorology with a minor in Mathematics. He was selected by NCAR to attend the Undergraduate Leadership Workshop this summer in Boulder, Colorado, and is the recipient of the School of Meteorology's Junior Undergraduate Academic Achievement Award. Meteorology has interested Dylan since his father took him to the National Severe Storms Laboratory open house in 1997, and experiencing the May 3, 1999 tornado first-hand only strengthened his interest.
After graduation, Dylan plans to attend graduate school and earn a Ph.D. in meteorology. His career goals include becoming a research scientist and a professor.
In addition to his academic career, Dylan is an accomplished musician, is proficient in many instruments and continues to perform recitals and talent shows. He also enjoys writing novels and is currently working on publishing a science fiction novel.
